Driving Directions
The Pipestone Indian Shrine is located in the Pipestone National Monument Visitor's Center in Pipestone, MN.
From the North (via US 75): Turn West on 9th St. NE. Continue West until you stop at the intersection of Hiawatha Avenue. The entrance to the Monument will be directly in front of you.
From the South (Via US 75 or MN 23): Drive North to Main Street. Turn West on Main St. for eight blocks until you reach Hiawatha Avenue. Turn North on Hiawatha Ave. Continue North for approximately nine blocks. The Monument entrance will be on your left.
From the West (Via MN 30): Drive East to Hiawatha Ave. Turn North on to Hiawatha. Continue through Pipestone approximatley 18 blocks. The Monument Entrance will be on your left.
From the East (Via MN 30): Drive West to the intersection with Hwys 75/23. At this intersection turn North on 75/23. Drive North to Main Street. Turn West on Main St. for eight blocks until you reach Hiawatha Avenue. Turn North on Hiawatha Ave. Continue North for approximately nine blocks. The Monument entrance will be on your left.
From Interstate 29. Pipestone is about 30 miles West of I-29. Exit onto SD Hwy 34 Eastbound. This will turn into MN 30 at the state border. Drive East to Hiawatha Ave. Turn North on to Hiawatha. Continue through Pipestone approximatley 18 blocks. The Monument Entrance will be on your left.
From Interstate 90 Westbound: We are approximately 27 miles from I-90. Exit onto Northbound US 75. Drive North to Main Street. Turn West on Main St. for eight blocks until you reach Hiawatha Avenue. Turn North on Hiawatha Ave. Continue North for approximately nine blocks. The Monument entrance will be on your left.
From Interstate 90 Eastbound: We are approximately 27 miles from I-90. Exit onto Northbound MN 23. Drive North to Main Street. Turn West on Main St. for eight blocks until you reach Hiawatha Avenue. Turn North on Hiawatha Ave. Continue North for approximately nine blocks. The Monument entrance will be on your left.
